Dongying is bursting with vitality from innovation
Dongying has gained the approval to build a national innovation city and one of the first batch of national intellectual property cities. Dongying also has 3 national platforms, namely Dongying Economic and Technological Development Zone, Yellow River Delta Hi-tech Demonstration Zone and Dongying Bonded Zone; 7 provincial economic development zones, 1 national university science and technology park, 15 scientific and technological enterprise incubators at or above provincial level, 28 maker spaces at or above provincial level, and 24 Chinese academicians’ work stations, all of which provide broad space for innovation and entrepreneurship.
Dongying has a favorable industrial ecosystem
Focusing on “5+2+2” industries, we’ve developed comprehensive industrial plans, carried out investment promotion and talent recruitment focused on industrial clusters, and facilitated the coordinated development of upstream and downstream industries. We’ve built a number of professional parks with distinctive features, complete facilities and flexible mechanisms, such as Lingang Petrochemical Industrial Base, Airport Industrial Park, and Functional Ceramics New Material Industrial Park. We’ve established a group of funds for replacing old growth drivers with new ones, and set up 24 private equity investment funds, the total scale of which is 24.9 billion yuan. Key exhibitions, such as petroleum equipment exhibition and rubber tire exhibition, have passed the UFI certification and become important platforms for enterprises to display their images, expand markets, and carry out exchanges and cooperation.
Dongying has a top environment for doing business
We’ve formulated a series of preferential policies and incentives for investment promotion and talent recruitment, and provided “practical financial” support to newly-introduced projects and high-end innovative and entrepreneurial talents. In line with international top standards, we are accelerating system innovation and process restructuring, and striving to do well in “reforms to delegate power, streamline administration and optimize government services” and the reform of “one-window acceptance, one-stop handling and online process”. In 2018, the State Council issued a document commending Dongying’s efforts in deepening the reform of the business affairs system, and only 24 cities and counties across the country won this commendation; in 2019, 15 enterprises in Dongying were shortlisted among the Top 500 Private Enterprises in China, making Dongying the city in Shandong with the most enterprises in this list. All these are a vivid reflection of Dongying’s superior environment for doing business.
